Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and its partners stand ready to offer support to any local Avro Energy employees after the Hinckley based business ceased trading yesterday.

Council Leader Stuart Bray said: “In these difficult times it is particularly disappointing to see the national energy crisis affect a Hinckley based business.  I am very concerned about the impact of this failure on people’s careers and livelihoods.  The Department of Works and Pensions, the National Careers Service and Leicestershire Employment Hub are ready to help and advise those workers who are affected by this announcement.”
