Markfield Community Library Award for Efforts and Contributions to Volunteering

Markfield Community Library is being awarded for efforts and contributions to Volunteering by the Community Library Network.

Volunteers have been recognised for the difference that they make, not just to the Community Library and local area, but to the wider libraries sector across England and Wales.

On recognising the award, Chair Margaret Bowler noted that “without the Operational Volunteer Team, Markfield Community Library could not have been the success it is.  

Acknowledgement must also go to Leicestershire County Council,  Markfield Parish Council and Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council who have supported the Community Library and volunteers over many years”.
